Grugeir emerged victorious in season 267. This is the second time Grugeir has become champion. It is impressive enough to win once, but it shows even more class to recreate the feat. The last time Grugeir won the first division was only three seasons ago.

The victory was narrow. Four players ended up with the same score, but Grugeir claimed the win with a phenomenal margin. Grugeir moved up from the second division in season 262. Since then, the player has completed five seasons at this level, with rankings of 1, 5, 5, 1, and 6. None of the experts believed that Grugeir would win this. Sessebot had ranked the player all the way down in ninth place before the season. LoBot had slightly more confidence and expected a sixth place finish.
