ahd74Wow, this group is like good old American politics lol. I´m with ozhammer all the way, people cheat, and they cheat a lot. I would have reported these events myself, however, as I teach my kids, I don´t accuse people without being 100 % sure. This season I lost against a person who had three bingo words that I had never heard of, on top of four other words I had never heard of. Sure, you can get lucky since you get unlimited tries, but within reason. Unfortunately there´s not much anyone can do about this problem, it´s like bicycling and doping.....have fun everyone ;) 7/04 2013 12:10:57

ozhammer2Hi ref, I honestly did want this facade over and done with and to move on. The reason I felt my position within the league could be in jeopardy is because the longer this goes on and gets more drawn out, tempers are going to get increasingly frayed, and with the nature of this complaint there is not ever going to be a resolution. May I please point out that you said to bethelonia that you have replied to all complaints, however, as previously stated I made one complaint in 21 seasons (with a screenshot, which is an impossibility on my phone) which I never had a single reply to either. And with.the risk of sounding disrespectful, practically everything that anyone has said in favour of my original.post has been dismissed and whatever anyone else had said against it has been applauded or agreed with (please see smiley faces). I appreciate I didn´t go down the right channels and that cheating is nigh on impossible to prove, but I 100 % stand by my original post, and posts from the ref that say that you think there is upset over lost games this season, is not the case, this has absolutely nothing to do with losing but the manner in which it has occurred, ps apocalyso I appreciate your input on this, you are entitled to an opinion as am I, you wanna play feudfan top trumps I´m game anytime you are.... 7/04 2013 09:13:14

Can´t imagine why you want to take a dismissive attitude with me when I have been nothing but polite and cordial, even while registering a bit of a concern about cheating in the league. ozhammerI´m going to leave my further arguements on the sidelines as this thread will continue to cause frustration and annoyance, belle, I have never questioned your integrity and I enjoyed our game as I did the last (although you completely killed me both times ;)), so apologies to you if you believed that any of this post was aimed in your direction, I do however have two thumbs and a brain, so whilst I still have both of them fully in tact, I will be able to voice my opinion on such matters. I have played in div 2 also, and play some of the best players in this league on a regular basis. Stats or no stats nothing could back up this nonsense of a

season. This is my opinion, right or wrong and I´m entitled to it. I´m going to leave it at that as I am unwilling to put my position in this league in any further jeopardy.

BETHELONIARef, first let me say I truly appreciate all you do and the fact that this league exists. I do not mind losing and would not complain that someone was cheating simply because I lost. I did suggest that one or two players have cheated, complete with screen shot evidence, a few times in the months I have been playing here. I still see one of them playing and winning a lot, and other players have mentioned to me the possibility of them and others cheating. That´s why I chimed in. I know Oz pretty well and for him to go on a rant like that indicates a serious level of frustration. He, by the way, also does not mind losing....he just minds cheating. 7/04 2013 03:52:58
illinimanWow I´ve missed so much, gotta get on here more often. I am one who believes some have cheated or app´d in this tourney, but also understand the nature of the beast. It´s actually impossible to "prove" someone is cheating, hell I know so many crazy words from people who I believe cheated against me (yttrium, xenon and many many more) so I threw out a general accusation of alleged cheating as did OZ to express our frustration of the allegations. I don´t mind losing one bit, it happens, I just don´t appreciate a crossword puzzle style word that I´ve never seen in years and years of playing multiple times in a game. Anyway, basically what I´m saying is you can´t prove cheating, and frankly I don´t see how it would be fun doing it, but it´s said in hope that those that do hopefully (doubtful) have it eat at their conscious. 7/04 2013 03:48:15
SouthernBelle0505 Wow! OK first off u should check the stats before you accuse anyone of cheating!! I spent 5 seasons in division 4 and this is my 4th season in division 3 and will remain here for another as you can see. I have played each of you before and you beat me did I cry cheater NO! I thanked you for the game and wished you good luck! I play to win but I don´t cheat to win and I don´t like it when my integrity is questioned! The other players in question check their stats they have been up in division 2 and r fighting to get back. BETHELONIARight on Ozzie! And Apocalypso, I think it bears mentioning that the lack of a short time limit on making words also makes it very possible to cheat to your heart´s content. This league is supposed to be on the honor system since the authorities are reluctant to agree that some people are cheating and take action against them so that it can be fair and fun for everyone. I try to give everyone the benefit of every doubt, and even so I can detect some cheating, in particular one member of this Div 3 group comes to mind. Ozzie doesn´t accuse people lightly, I think his frustration ought to be taken seriously. 6/04 2013 12:39:12
apocalypso20One more thing i forgot to mention is the time factor.Club scrabble allows you only 25 mins to complete the whole game.Here you can play at your own pace.This helps considerably in thinking about bingos. When i play on a board my avg score ranges b/w 330 and 400.However i´m able to score well in excess of 400 on most occasions in wordfeud making it more enjoyable :). 6/04 2013 06:00:33
apocalypso20It´s very wrong of you people to accuse others of cheating just because you have lost most of your games.I´ve played most players before and all of them play a fair game.You need to introspect on the way you have played those games rather than go on branding the good players as cheaters.Unlike club scrabble wf gives one the freedom to try out different combinations of letters on the board.So people often end up playing moves which they wouldn´t on a regular scrabble board.I know this is unfair but that´s how wordfeud works and you gotta get on with it. 6/04 2013 05:07:56

ozhammer2Thanks for the reply ref, I appreciate that there are channels to go through and I appreciate that cheating is difficult to prove, however I chose to voice my opinion publicly as A) this complete season has been a joke and I´m pretty sure that almost half of the legitimate side of.this league would agree, B) you guys work too damn hard for little reward to have your ´baby´ ruined by Muppets, and c) in 21 seasons I made one complaint via email and never got a response. If on my stupid android device I could perfect the art of the screenshot (which on my HTC is like quantum physics) I would have taken one of each "funfilled" game. Sorry for the rantish style post but I really enjoy playing in this league 95 % of the time but when you come across groups like this its unbearable, you guys worked too damn hard on this for it to turn to shit. 5/04 2013 09:00:20

ozhammer2Ok, so this is getting rediculous / boring now, what was it with this season? Someone felt aggrieved that someone else had used a cheat app against them and thought they would join in the "fun" or 3 or 4 of you decided that it would just be either a good idea at the start, or a simple play out of desperation? This is a GAME, it is supposed to be FUN. I am an average player in an average division and unless someone forgot to tell me that Nigel Richards and his esteemed buddies (he´s a scrabble.champ btw...) Were going to be in this wonderful group for an honorary season, then this is complete and if you will excuse the phrase, bull shit!! The players NOT included in this piece already know who they are, needless to say the cheats will also know who they are...
