Monty022	It´s a computer program and both players would be playing under same conditions so not sure why it couldn´t be introduced. The ISC site has the "void" on or off option so you can play either version there. The same would apply in the wordfeud app. What I love is the suggestion of automatic invites from WLoH site, especially if each game had a unique identifier. Then the results could be auto posted back to the site after each match. That would take out incorrect scores posted, games aging off the list before results are recorded, the need for screenshots, etc. yeah, good to dream. I don´t think wordfeud are really interested in innovations now or in the future. If I was creating my own app, I´d have it as an option but I´m not and I never will so it´s all daydreaming unless you are on the board of Berheusen IT lol	30/03 2017 22:47:09
steve^w	Great idea. Might work best if the invite could be sent from the WLoH site - that´d solve a few things; invite would almost always be to the right player (or an automatic notification to admin could occur if the player wasn´t found) and always with the right settings. League site could also record that an invite was sent. For me the ideal would also include tournament mode in the WF app - this would record much more info about plays and prevent playing from non-conformant apps eh :-) but ... that´s a lot of development for both WF and the league without much payback if you think about number of players involved and the money they´d potentially get. How much would people be prepared to pay out of interest $1, $5, $10, more? Anyway we can dream right. 1hockey	There lies the problem how will you enforce this functionality and saying it would appear as an app as an option when sending a game invite and you would select language, board type, and "pass on invalid word" On/Off. ? You cannot have the an option to switch between one version of WF and the other. It comes down to trust in your opponent so nothing has changed. Idontcheat2	Can´t say we didn´t try, as you see it´s a non-committal answer. Maybe they will give a bit of thought. It would be such a great improvement with many players enjoying this sort of play. At the moment, it´s those that have the time to fiddle will win most if the time, I just can´t be bothered, the word either comes to me fairly quickly or not at all.	30/03 2017 03:44:11
Monty022	Yep, the admin or site owner would have to state what setting to use in tournaments. But the reality is wordfeud won´t ever introduce that functionality so it´s all hypothetical anyway. Monty022	Sent Hello Wordfeud Support, I have a suggested development to improve gameplay. It would be good if you could build in a "pass on invalid word" option so players don´t get unlimited opportunities to try random combinations of letters to hopefully play a valid word. I feel the unlimited attempts to find a valid word reduces the skill of the game as I don´t need to be good, I just need to get lucky with a random combination of letters that looks a bit like a word. This functionality would appear in the app as an option when sending a game invite. You would select language, board type, and "pass on invalid word" On/Off. That way people could still play with unlimited guesses like they currently do by turning that function off when inviting. If passing on trying to play any invalid word is too harsh, then a further option of 3 invalid attempts and you pass still gives players a few chances to experiment, just not unlimited. It would force people to be more selective with their guesses. Hopefully you will consider this functionality for an upcoming release. Regards Monty022	28/03 2017 05:45:49

Unfortunately the powers that be here (WLoH admin team) are not the same and have zero connection with the real powers that be (Bertheussen IT) that own and control the Wordfeud app. I´m pretty sure Bertheussen IT aren´t perusing this forum for app development ideas. Monty022	@Idontcheat2, I agree but as you point out, the app is what it is. It would be great if they at least gave people the option to modify the gameplay like that. Even some watered down 3 strikes and you´re out option would be something. It would give players a little room to experiment but not endless guessing. Whether it´s 3 guesses per turn, or 3 per game or 0 mistakes as you´ve suggested, it would be nice to have that functionality as as an option with game requests. If recent wordfeud updates are anything to go by, it´s all minor bug fixes they do now. I can´t recall what the last major development they did on the app......inclusion of statistics perhaps??? Idontcheat2	I still think you should forfeit a go if you get a wrong word. However this is Wordfeud and I accept this is how it´s set up. Those that win are probably those who have masses of time to fiddle about with unlikely tiles to get some weird word. I never use a dictionary or cheat aids, the worse thing I do is try a few combinations and not waste time on it. Just enjoy the game.	22/03 2017 19:25:09
WLoH Int Judge	Yes, if you mean knowledge and memory for words I agree. Consider though that if they had implemented the ´lose your turn for an incorrect word´ rule in wordfeud many players would simply check in a dictionary first. Both games have their merits. I tend to score higher in wordfeud but that´s not always the case. It is possible to agree different rules with people for games outside of this league. You can both agree to pass your go if the word doesn´t exist but it obviously requires more trust. I play like this with a friend of mine and it´s a lot of fun. Which gives me an idea- You can use this forum to organise cup events. It´s mentioned on the stats page. Why not organise a cup with a ´scrabble rules´ theme. Just an idea. If anyone is interested and wants some assistance setting it up just let me know :)	21/03 2017 07:30:17

Monty022	SusannahF, that´s the nature of wordfeud as the judge has pointed out. It differs considerably from scrabble allowing unlimited attempts to make a valid word. Players often put a suffix aside, like ING, and with their remaining 4 letters try to force a bingo. Hypothetically, If I had ING and my remaining letters were BOTH, I´d try to play BOTHING somewhere. It´s not a word so wordfeud would reject it, but there´s no penalty for trying it.	21/03 2017 06:26:34
WLoH Int Judge	Also skill and luck are not affected unfairly because the rules are the same for everyone. It is in no way the same as using a cheat app so saying that is definitely unfair and could be a little insulting to LORRAINEGB maybe? There is a skill to spotting possible openings and opportunities. For all we know LORRAINEGB may prefer the game of scrabble but when she is playing wordfeud she plays how any savvy player does, including myself :)	21/03 2017 01:22:34
WLoH Int Judge	Hi Susannahf, it´s fine to discuss this subject on the forum. The way I see it wordfeud and scrabble are two different games. Scrabble has rules which don´t allow you to shuffle letters and submit a wrong word without losing your turn. Wordfeud does not have this rule. I think many wordfeud players will try to place the higher value letters on the bonus squares and try combinations around that which look like they may be a word. This is just part of the game for better or worse depending on opinion.	21/03 2017 00:44:59

I to have had this happen on numerous occasions just had to accept it and so do you, you can´t win all the time. I have lost loads of games due to this but i accept this can happen. LoBot	This is truly a wicked gang! TASH2689 is a new player in the league, welcome! LORRAINEGB is number 3 on the all time table of the fifth division, for all groups in all divisions in all seasons. NICOLE775 is the secondmost experienced player in the group, and has played continously since the debut in season 37. HELENW is a terrific player who has been number 3 in division 8 in season 87. SUSANNAHF is a skilful player who has been number 8 in division 7 in season 99. IDONTCHEAT2 is the player here who most recently went undefeated through an entire season, it happened in 8. division in season 123. EBRAZ1 is a fine multitalent and does also demolish opponents in division 7 in Wordfeud US English while playing here. PETE.SIMMS is a marvellous opponent who was number 4 on this level last season. HALLSTARSLOL is a divine player who has been number 6 in division 8 in season 124. The winner gets promoted. I feel pretty confident that Idontcheat2 wins the season.	18/03 2017 11:38:05
