Monty022	When an opponent passes on their opening move, the "correct" play (unless you already have a playable bingo) is to swap tiles to address issues on your rack and hopefully improve to a bingo. If you think about it, after one turn they´ve scored nothing and their rack hasn´t improved, whilst you´ve had the opportunity to improve your rack. That´s quite an advantage. Also, you´ve turned over more tiles so have increased your chances of picking up premium letters. If they insist on passing again, keep changing letters until you get a bingo. Eventually you play your bingo, they presumably bingo back, that makes the score fairly close. It´s certainly better than playing some 20 point word and them bingoing for 60-70 and getting a 40-50 point jump on you. A more dangerous tactic would be to pass it back to them. If they pass again,mother the game ends (3 consecutive passes). The winner determined by value of tiles stranded on your racks. You could lose without playing a word. That´s the counterplay to an opening pass move as I see it. Anyone else got a theory? Personally, I´m always excited when my opponent passes first turn because I know it works to my advantage. Monty022	Crg, it´s actually to your advantage when your opponent passes on the opening move. There are some options you have which definitely help you. It´s not my place to tell you during this time in the match but I´ll explain the logic once you can confirm some words have been played in your game and you are beyond the opening word play. WLoH Int Official	Crg. Scrabble is a test of strategy as well as wordmanship. If you have a rack of high scoring consonants, with no option to play, you may well pass in order to see if your opponent will provide you with that all important vowel to enable you to capitalise on your wordplay. "Hoping to play a word off my word" is surely what the game is all about.	28/05 2017 10:37:15

WLoH Int Official	Crg. It is neither illegal nor unsportsmanlike for your opponent to pass on the first go. Far from having a rack of poor tiles, your opponent may well have a rack of very desirable tiles and may not wish to relinquish any of them. I´m no mathematician but I can think of hundreds of games where I´ve passed on the first go because I simply could not make a word but wanted to retain all tiles in my rack. Swapping and passing are all valid moves in Scrabble, whether you are playing ´live´ or online and to accuse your opponent of ´giving himself an advantage´ by doing so is unfair. Quite frankly I´m surprised that you´ve reached division 3 without this happening before. I suggest you rule a line under this and continue the game in good spirit and may the best player win.	28/05 2017 10:20:09

Crg	I started a new game with Jackson.G.I today, with my opponent scheduled to make the first move. However, he passed. I questioned him on this and asked him if he wasn´t even able to play a two letter word, he said he was not. If his tiles were so bad, he should have swapped. Instead he´s passed to give himself an unfair advantage. I´m not taking my turn. I want to see him disqualified	28/05 2017 05:12:14
LoBot	Man, that is a terrific gang! LAINEY1965 is the one with most experience here, with 105 seasons in the league. DEBIGG is the player here who has won most groups, with a total of 12 victories. CHOCOLATE!? is the player here who most recently went undefeated through an entire season, it happened in 6. division in season 123. JACKSON.G.I is a superior player who has been number 2 in division 2 in season 122. PAARNAAT is number 3 on the list of best all-round players. TAY76 is a great player who has been number 12 in division 1 in season 118. OBI is a supernatural opponent who was number 3 on this level last season. CRG is the player with the highest average score in a season (only counting the last 20 seasons), with 535 points per match (it happened in season 120 in division 5.) KAYTEK is the most frequent winner in the lot in the last 20 seasons, with a frequency of 2.33 victories per loss. DEBIGG and CHOCOLATE!? are not only great players, but beautiful individuals who supports WLoH and helps a silly old bot like me stay alive. The winner gets promoted, the two last players will be relegated. My two favourites here are paarnaat and Jackson.G.I. They have met 9 times before in the league, and paarnaat is ahead 5-4 in victories. So if I have to choose, I believe that paarnaat will top the table at the end of the season.	27/05 2017 11:51:08
