monty022No way. There´s still the majority of the game to go. Your opponent could be about to cop the worst run of letters in scrabble history, or you could be about to board the bingo train. You gotta hang in there and try to close the gap. Even 100 points behind at the end isn´t surmountable. Also, there is no greater feeling in scrabble the the final-word-bingo-come-from-a-mile-behind-catch-your-opponent-with-a-full-rack-and-snatch-victory-by-a-handful-of-points play. You won´t know if you give up after you drop off the pace. And of course, there are other times when 100 points behind is just a sign post on the way to 200 points behind or more. Some games just aren´t meant to be yours. But I wouldn´t resign early on when there´s so much game still left to be played.
