I do, of course, have a personal opinion. I think the 150 is reasonable . There are many games where the differential approaches 150. There are players, unfortunately, who would ´cut their losses and run´ if the penalty were to be less. Having said that, most resignations seem to be due to lack of interest, personal circumstances or pique.

Most unfortunate re the major malfunction. I may be incorrect but I inferred from the posts that the games were actually resigned rather than being automatically resigned because of a timeout; if I am mistaken in my inference then my next comment may be considered superfluous but it may be of use to someone for the future. Your games are not stored in your phone. They are on WF and available via the site. You can log in to them using most devices or, if your phone is your only device, when it is fixed. One or the other is the case or you would not have been able to post. I further commiserate and conversely am a touch in awe, WHPH - you or the phone must benefit from prescience - your games were resigned, either proactively or automatically on the morning of October 21st (your time) but you state that the major malfunction occurred at night time October 21st.
