Before the season started, *shazz* was considered an outsider, someone who could win, but maybe not someone you should put the big money on. LoBotAt the moment, jazzylady73 and Goutmiester is in the relegation spots. But in the games that are not finished, I will set some automatic results at deadline, and that may cause APL001 and Goutmiester to go down. The rules state that you cannot get an advantage simply by not finishing your games, so the table judge may edit this group with respect to relegation. International JudgeIt takes 3 consecutive passes to cause that to happen. Then as you have pointed out, the final score will be negative based on the letters on your rack. It´s the first game played that is the official one. So as unusual a result as you have, it is the official result for this season.

It´s not my place to coach players but as the game has now ended, when an opponent passes as their opening move, the strategically soundest option is to change/swap letters trying to improve your rack to make a bingo. The end result being after 1 turn each, their rack hasn´t improved, and you´ve at least had the opportunity to address problems with your opening rack. Plus it prevents the match ending like it did for you with 3 consecutive passes as a swap/change letters is a proper move and not considered a "pass".
