llucille Thanks for the dialogue. I better understand the confusing donation options now. I can pay $15 and I will do that. My donation will go to support the operation of this site. Or I can buy a certain book on amazon and somehow (send a receipt?) I will magically be credited for having donated even though I did not, because buying the book does not directly support the site. Is that it? I am ok with that. Look for my $15 because I will often support services I use and this is a valuable and fun tournament. But I also like to read and that novel sounds pretty interesting, having used using google translate to come to that opinion. :-) 21/09 2015 00:45:27

However, having reread the Rules page it seems that the donation comes free with the book rather than the other way around. That seems ok to me - as Monty has pointed out the cost of the book is approximately twice the amount of the suggested donation. Good luck this season 20/09 2015 21:07:43

llucille Yes it is a well-run site, much appreciated, and I know it takes time and money to run. I am not opposed to the pay to play idea, especially for those who enjoy and stay with it over time. I just can´t read Norwegian and think you might raise more money (from me at least) if you withdraw the preferential "bonus" for those who do read Norwegian. I would pay $15 for the other benefits, and to support WordFeud LOH. When Eskil´s book is available in translation I will consider buying that too, separately. Cheers:) and thanks.

tydfil@llucille - let´s look at it the other way around;) Why should some people get the benefit of the site for nothing whilst others donate? The site costs time and money to run. You could, of course, get Eskil´s book if you were to donate and take the opportunity to learn Norwegian - an added bonus for the princely sum of $15 - happy days! 19/09 2015 20:11:24
llucille Hey Eskil, you get your book translated to English and I will buy it. Until then the idea that a few can get your book for donating while others get nothing is holding me back from contributing to a worthy cause.
