rccprofI agree that only one username per person should be allowed. If that is not enough games for a person, they can also play in the international English division simultaneously without any of these conflicts of interest, as some of the division 1 players already do. 20/12 2012 15:47:15

rweiss54I agree with ghengis khak that only one alias function in division two as well as division one. There are only 16 places in division two. Currently one player is taking up one eighth of division 2. It is logical to assume that a player with different aliases would all have the same skill level and end up in the same division. If I were to add several aliases to this game I could conceivably have three aliases in division two. It spoils the fun of the friendly competition when there are more than one aliases in a very limited number of places. I have found that virtually all of the players are happy to play games outside of the competition and there are many other word feud competitions available. 10/12 2012 11:36:49
ghengis khaklobotommy - having a single player on multiple names also potentially allows that player to allocate their matches against other players, not just themselves, in a way that rescues/elevates one of them. My opinion is that the best solutions to this are to either:

(1) put the two players in different groups. This is not always possible (division 1 or with more than 2 aliases in division 2) and even if possible it would complicate the group assignment algorithm.

(2) let the group selection algorithm play out as-is but force all but one of the aliases into inactivity no matter which division it is in.

I don´t see why you single out division 1 as being special in this regard. Many of the players here are former/aspiring/future division 1 players and take WLOH just as seriously.

lobotommyHi! just to clarify: we do allow one person to have several users in wordfeud league of honour. It´s difficult to make it work with the wordfeud app and not very common to do, so we actually have no rules for what happens when two such users meet in the same group. it´s only the second time it happens as i´m aware of.

This opens for tactical setting of the internal result, in order to promote one of the users, or rescue one. That would not be in the spirit of the league. Given the situation, I think Hare Krishna has found the most fair solution, setting it to a draw before any other matches are played. it will slightly reduce both users´ chance for promotion, but also for relegation.

if this should happen again, hare krishna, give me a hint so I could move one of the users to another group. If it happens frequently, I´ll build some logic to avoid it.

I´m not gonna allow both these users to play in 1.division in the same season. They can both get promoted, but then you have to inactivate one.
