WLoH Mediator	NEWDAYRISING: It is possible that the invitation went out with an International English board rather than US English. Look at your screen that lists your opponents, including recently finished games. It shows under the opponents screen name which board is in force. If it is not US English, you may inform your opponent and issue an invitation for US English and start over. Otherwise, if it is indeed a US English board, please take a screen shot and send it to wlohusjudge@gmail.com with you Division and Group numbers and an explanation again of why you are sending it.	21/09 2023 01:34:16

LoBot	This is the second start of season 295, so you got two mail from us, the last one counts. If you managed to start any games before that second mail, they are considered training matches. I want to apologize for these and other issues the league has experienced in recent days. What happened is that we switched server provider, we´ve doubled the RAM and doubled the hard disk space. The reason for the move is that during last winter, we had several instances of full-day downtime, and extended downtime like that creates significant problems for the leagues. I receive thousands of emails when it happens, and it´s challenging for me to find time to address issues related to individual matches when everything is on fire. The service becomes poor, and the tournaments unfair. So, it became evident that we had to migrate to a new server, and I´ve been preparing for this since winter. This involved a new operating system, Windows 2022. Windows 2022 requires that data queries go through a different C# library, mysqlconnector, the library I chose when I started this site in 2011 is now outdated. To implement that library, the site required an upgrade to .NET 4.7 (which is why emojis suddenly work 😃). The library for sending emails has also been outdated for many years, and I was now forced to drop it and switch to Mailkit, which seems to work better for those with Gmail but not as well for those with Hotmail. Thousands of lines of code have been rewritten, and there are new versions of everything, so debugging has been unusually challenging. The version of MySQL that the new database is running on is many years newer than the one we had, and I believe most of the problems stem from that. For example, it seems that the new MySQL responds differently to slow SQL queries; it has a lower threshold for shutting down the entire database. I believe the site will be better than ever when all of this is under control, and I hope you can endure until then.	15/09 2023 11:15:53
