Few updates concerning my games as follows;

me vs fostercatmama 414 - 317 with the final move coming up

me vs Galadriel917 283 - 323 with 5 tiles left in the bag

me vs Karuga KE 183 - 211 with 31 tiles left in the bag

me vs Wishfeud 148 - 96 with 51 tiles left in the bag

It seems the game with morphology never started or we never sent invites to each other

LoBotAt the moment, Mom2jba is leading this. Karuga KE and John0203 is in the relegation spots. But if the games are not finished, I will set automatic results at deadline, and that will change the order in both ends of the table. javajewel may win, WISHFEUD and morphology may go down. Our rules state that you can´t get an advantage by not finishing games, so the table judge may edit promotion and relegation. If you know what happens in the unfinished games (current score, reason for delay), and they matter for promotion or relegation, I recommend posting the information here before deadline. 27/09 2023 15:16:11

LoBotThis is the second start of season 295, so you got two mail from us, the last one counts. If you managed to start any games before that second mail, they are considered training matches. I want to apologize for these and other issues the league has experienced in recent days. What happened is that we switched server provider, we´ve doubled the RAM and doubled the hard disk space. The reason for the move is that during last winter, we had several instances of full-day downtime, and extended downtime like that creates significant problems for the leagues. I receive thousands of emails when it happens, and it´s challenging for me to find time to address issues related to individual matches when everything is on fire. The service becomes poor, and the tournaments unfair. So, it became evident that we had to migrate to a new server, and I´ve been preparing for this since winter. This involved a new operating system, Windows 2022. Windows 2022 requires that data queries go through a different C# library, mysqlconnector, the library I chose when I started this site in 2011 is now outdated. To implement that library, the site required an upgrade to .NET 4.7 (which is why emojis suddenly work 😃). The library for sending emails has also been outdated for many years, and I was now forced to drop it and switch to Mailkit, which seems to work better for those with Gmail but not as well for those with Hotmail. Thousands of lines of code have been rewritten, and there are new versions of everything, so debugging has been unusually challenging. The version of MySQL that the new database is running on is many years newer than the one we had, and I believe most of the problems stem from that. For example, it seems that the new MySQL responds differently to slow SQL queries; it has a lower threshold for shutting down the entire database. I believe the site will be better than ever when all of this is under control, and I hope you can endure until then. 15/09 2023 11:15:53
