Judge US League 49ERSFAN. Let me quote from the rules to answer your question. β€˜ If an invitation is not accepted during the 14 days of the season and the game did not start at all, you should not report any results. Our robot (LoBot) automatically fixes it when the season ends. The player who completed the least number of matches will then lose, based on the assumption that that player is the slowest. If the players have completed the same number of matches, the result is set to 0-0, otherwise the one with the most played matches will win. In this case LoBot will award a score of 160-0.’ 29/09 2023 11:19:20
49ersfanHi LoBot… I am just wondering, how do you decide who gets the ZERO and who gets the 160 if the scores are not turned in before the deadline? I know it’s my responsibility to enter the scores as much as the other player. I’ve only played a handful of players who actually record the scores if they lost the game. The scores I was not able to enter were: Jongopostal 402 vs Me 447. Also, Celtic Sailor 316 vs Me 427. My game vs Summerstorm is ongoing. Before the season started, summerstorm45 was considered an outsider, someone who could win, but maybe not someone you should put the big money on. But if the games are not finished, I will set automatic results at deadline, and that will change the order in both ends of the table. jrmcc may win, Celtic Sailor and summerstorm45 may go down. Our rules state that you canΒ΄t get an advantage by not finishing games, so the table judge may edit promotion and relegation. LoBotThis is the second start of season 295, so you got two mail from us, the last one counts. If you managed to start any games before that second mail, they are considered training matches. I want to apologize for these and other issues the league has experienced in recent days. What happened is that we switched server provider, weΒ΄ve doubled the RAM and doubled the hard disk space. The reason for the move is that during last winter, we had several instances of full-day downtime, and extended downtime like that creates significant problems for the leagues. I receive thousands of emails when it happens, and itΒ΄s challenging for me to find time to address issues related to individual matches when everything is on fire. The service becomes poor, and the tournaments unfair. So, it became evident that we had to migrate to a new server, and IΒ΄ve been preparing for this since winter. This involved a new operating system, Windows 2022. Windows 2022 requires that data queries go through a different C# library, mysqlconnector, the library I chose when I started this site in 2011 is now outdated. To implement that library, the site required an upgrade to .NET 4.7 (which is why emojis suddenly work πŸ˜ƒ). The library for sending emails has also been outdated for many years, and I was now forced to drop it and switch to Mailkit, which seems to work better for those with Gmail but not as well for those with Hotmail. Thousands of lines of code have been rewritten, and there are new versions of everything, so debugging has been unusually challenging. The version of MySQL that the new database is running on is many years newer than the one we had, and I believe most of the problems stem from that. For example, it seems that the new MySQL responds differently to slow SQL queries; it has a lower threshold for shutting down the entire database.
