LoBotMy compliments to De_Vaughn on the outstanding effort in Season 92, Div 8, Group 8! Before the season started, De_Vaughn was considered an outsider, someone who could win, but maybe not someone you should put the big money on. WLoH Int JudgeYes that theory is correct in my opinion Steve. I don´t have exact figures, just my own estimates, so if anyone takes the time to accurately count the numbers they should feel free to correct me.

Back in April before the link was put into wordfeud I believe we had about 400 players or so. We now have well over 2000 in English International. At first only a small percentage of wordfeud app owners could see the tournament link, this was gradually increased so as to stagger the introduction of new members.

It takes a while for players to filter up through the divisions and find their level, this means effects are delayed somewhat.

Before the link we had 5 or 6 divisions, this doesn´t sound much less than our current 8, however the lower the division the more players there are. For example there are about 1000 players in division 8, this is the same amount as division 1 to 7 combined! This means that anyone in division 7 and above is in the top 50 % of players.

Steve^WHi Ben, if it´s any consolation you´re not the only one that´s commented about the league getting harder recently.

The theory is that as more people have joined up (with the league button in the WF app itself) the competition has increased and the effect has gradually spread through the divisions. Lobot or judge might be able to provide some stats on rate of growth.

Having said all that, there´s not much in your games so far this season (one/two different plays perhaps?) and someone wise once said never give up ;-)

LoBotHere we have an excellent pack! ?VINCENT? starts a glorious Wordfeud League of Honour career this season, good luck, and when you reach the top, please remember your old friends. DE_VAUGHN is the one who most recently won a group on a decent level, the player won division 8 back in season 86. STEPPENWO1F is the player with the highest average score in a season (only counting the last 25 seasons), with 417 points per match (it happened in season 84 in division 7.) TIAM SPARROW is the player here who most recently went undefeated through an entire season, it happened in 8. division in season 87. SUKI1953 is a first-rate opponent who was number 3 on this level last season. BENGRIFFITHS006 just came down from 7.division and is probably eager for revenge. CAZYBABY is a magnificent player who has been number 8 in division 8 in season 91.

The winner gets promoted. With this many intelligent players it is hard to tell you who wins, but I guess bengriffiths006 will top the table at the end of the season.
