Monty022 Thanks Judge, since being banished to division 2 a few seasons back I’ve managed to bounce back with a vengeance lol. I’ll ride my luck while it lasts but luck can turn on you without warning. I think it’s the scores of “6” which were the deciding factor. Last season I had 7 scores of 6 resulting in 1 win 2 draws and 4 losses and finished mid-table. This season I also had 7 scores of 6 but resulting in 4 wins 2 draws and 1 loss!!! graham-sI feel for miniministoner this season, whose + score is the same as Monty022´s in 1st, the difference being that after 11 games, miniministoner has had *17* more points scored against them. Still, it´s unlikely to match Thymallus in season 43, who scored really well - 84 is easily enough to win some seasons - but finished last after having 91 scored against them, including five 8s 😵😵😵😵 31/01 2025 12:45:44

Monty022 You can’t really allow yourself to look at the table as that can reveal the result beforehand. Say you are 8th after 9 games waiting for 10th match to finish. You open the table but hide everything other than the “Played” column to see if it says 10 beside your name. Let’s say it does, but you notice you’re still in 8th position so that probably means a loss. If you see you are now 6th or 7th position, you’ve moved up modestly so probably a draw, and if you see your name suddenly in 3rd-5th position, then you probably had a win so you know the outcome before you’ve even looked at the actual solution and match score. Hence I super expand font size immediately and carefully scroll down left side of page until I find my list of results etc. Method and madness lol 29/01 2025 22:23:33

Monty022 Does anyone else do this ridiculous ritual when waiting for your opponent to complete a match? Firstly I come to the table but immediately enlarge the screen font so I can’t see the table. Then I scroll down to the list of game scores in super large font so I cannot see the scores. I find the match in my list and hopefully it’s bold meaning my opponent has played. If it’s bold, I then press on the match then cover the screen with my hand so I cannot see their solution. Then I turn my face away from the screen and enlarge the screen font and carefully navigate so I can see only their opening word. Then I slightly reduce the font size to gradually reveal their second word, then third etc until I see the full solution and I only know then if I’ve won lost or drawn. Monty022 Nah, not even close. Back in season 57 I had a 13 point spread after 9. I didn’t go back any further. I wish it was because I’d nailed a bunch of 8’s but you can’t really control it as it depends a lot on your opponents. I’ve managed to be consistent and score 6’s and 7’s whereas my opponents have stumbled a few times and scored 3, 4, and several 5’s. It adds up and I’m not complaining lol. 29/01 2025 10:29:02
