nodmirt	Well ref I can´t say that I agree..it´s a league of honour and we are often instructed to refer to the rules page..take screen shots and apply the 150-0 for games..I did all of that. My play was not slow I made every effort to complete games in plenty of time.Nowhere in the rules does it say anything about luck being an unfair advantage. I got the break this time that´s how the cookie crumbles.An opponent resigned and another timed out the fault if any lies with them not me so I still think it was unfair to peanalise me for their actions.Also for the record I went on to win the game against pixyp as I indicated was on the cards. If the rules are only advisory then I think we need to one that in advance. One thin we do agree on ref is that we need to agree to disagree and move on.	3/04 2016 08:59:20

WLoH Int Judge	I agree with Int Admin that this is an extremely difficult call. The reasons already given are spot on and I don´t need to repeat. I understand why Nodmirt feels they are the rightful winner when reading the rule page however some of the content is simply guidelines which help prevent players intentionally benefitting from slow play. Common sense and fairness needs to be applied. The fact there was clearly no intent to benefit and 1st place did beat 2nd in their fixture is really the clincher for me. WLoH Int Judge	I want to say a big thank you to WLoH Int Assist who donates his precious time for the benefit of everyone here and hope other players will concur and support. Table judging is probably the toughest job us admins have to do and Int Assist has proven he is extremely thorough and makes very fair decisions. Players should trust he has been chosen to do this for specific reasons and although putting your case forward is welcome the decisions made must be accepted and respected. This was not group specific but I will be commenting further on the decision here shortly and saw no benefit in creating a new thread to make my feelings known about the job Int Assist does.	3/04 2016 05:51:52
nodmirt	A lot of the game is luck..who gets the best letters,the triple word opportunities. .you can´t peanalise a pkayer for getting lucky. Nowhere in the rules does it say you will be disadvantaged for getting lucky. I have no idea why an opponent resigned while ahead..or why another accepted my invitation and not here but I cannot be peanalised for another players actions.	2/04 2016 23:17:47

WLoH Int Assist	Hi nodmirt, I´ve seen the screenshots thanks. The judge forwarded them on but is quite busy so may not have time to review my decision for a wee while. The way I looked at it was that some players changed their minds about playing. With you they accepted the invite and then resigned (in some cases without making a move), clare then invited them and they didn´t accept at all. Much of a muchness in my view. Once I ensured you´d both had the same wins against the less engaged players (noting that I gave you extra spread when doing this) it seemed to come down to Clare having won that extra game - against you. Sorry if you feel let down. Again I have asked that my decision be reviewed.	2/04 2016 22:17:14
nodmirt	Wloh assistant I played 7 of my 8 games to completion. I lost only one to clarebear and the rest I won before the end of the season.one I won when my opponent resigned,one opponent timed out the rest i won in the normal manner.one game against pixyp was left unfinished as my opponent stopped playing despite me urging her to finish the game..I was ahead in that one too. Clarebear on the other hand seems to have completed only 4 games and the other wins coming from automated results at the end of the season..therefore as you can not gain promotion on automated results..	2/04 2016 21:54:05

WLoH Int Assist	Checked - ok. Nodmirt, to see what would happen I changed things so that Clare didn´t get any advantage from the automatic result (gave you 151-1 versus Karunki). It didn´t change things, ultimately Clare won one more game than you (the one against you in fact). Sorry. LoBot	When I entered the automatic results, the bottom of the table changed. The rule says that you can´t take advantage of not finising a game. LoBot	The season is close to its end, and nodmirt is ahead. But if the last games are not finished, I will set some automatic results at deadline, and as it looks right now, clarebear67 may get the victory. The rules say that if you don´t finish the games, you may lose your promotion, the table judge may edit this group and may give the promotion to nodmirt anyway. LoBot	A tip from the rules: If the opponent resigns, you can either register a 150-0 victory for yourself, or deduct 50 points from the score of your opponent. Don´t register anything if the match never starts.
