Dear all.
Our first attempt, which was actually merely an attempt to handover Feudia, has failed.
Some facts: Recovering Feudia will require setting up a new WEB server. This could be done, especially if having some skills in doing so. A special challenge is Feudia being dependent on a set of scheduled tasks to close matches, start tournaments, send mail etc. These have to be identified as I don´t have a list. Also, I don´t have an updated database copy, so recovering Feudia would require new users to reregister, statistic should be reset, and no tournament history would be present. Premium memberships could, however, be reestablished from PayPal. According to my estimate, recovering Feudia would require a week of full time work.
I have decided not to recover Feudia alone. When we took over Feudia for six years ago, my hope was not to be alone with the technical responsibility. That hope has not been honored. Also, for two years ago, I was very ill, but thanks to the skilled surgeons at our national hospital, Feudia did not that time follow me to the grave. After then, my engagement for Feudia has been limited to an absolute minimum. Also, the site should not be that vulnerable being dependent on one person. I see two options, if Feudia should be recovered:
The preferred one, according to our age and current engagement. Someone else takes over Feudia. We will assist technically and financially in the startup. Prime technologies are PHP and MySQL. I will suggest a Linux server for the site, but others may suite.
Someone signs up to assist in running Feudia. Especially someone with a more extensive knowledge on WEB administration than me would be desirable.

In a week, I´m going on vacation for three weeks. In that period, nothing will happen from my side. So I think, if Feudia will be recovered, it has long prospects, maybe celebrated with the Authumn tournaments.
If not recovered, I want to thank my partners for their efforts the last six years (we succeded extending the lifetime of Feudia with six years; unfortunately, we also failed at the end). Also I will thank the Dutch referees for their great work, and Sheenagh Magee for her great work keeping the English group and Quartz alive. Finally I will thank all those members contributing to make #Feudia to a great place to were. #wordfeud
