A constructive and beneficial conversation guys, the more players who show this faith and support the better we will tackle the cheating problem. Like captainkos says, unfortunately we can probably never fully eradicate it but we can make WLoH as clean as possible. That means an enjoyable and worthwhile league for all of us. Trust in the systems and a little effort by everyone goes a long way. Faith :)

Thank you for your prompt answer Captaincos. Not looking for a witch hunt here. As I said I play in different leagues, in different languages so only the "culprit" would understand. I will follow your piece of advice. Thank you

@summerB. I know it can be frustrating. I agree that ppl know. It´s fairly easy to distinguish between a cheat and a good player. I recently made a comment re someone in my group cheating and was nicely admonished, rightly so. I realise by posting and naming a suspected cheat can cause a witch hunt. I also realise that by flagging up a cheat in your group but not naming them, you´re unintentionally calling everyones honesty into question. The best solution is in the rules. Obviously the mods have experience and have worked out the best way to handle cheats. Don´t discuss in the forum. Email the board and your observations to the judge. He/she is very reasonable and will take it on board. If we all do that, hopefully we´ll keep the leagues as clean as possible, though perfection is impossible. Rant over. CK

This has been on my mind for a long time. I joined WLoH about a year ago in the belief that here people would be honest. However, unfortunately it´s not the case. The cheaters pop up every now and then. To those who cheat, I´d like to say everyone knows. Even if you think you´re ever so smart, people talk behind your back.
I play in different languages, in different leagues. I don´t want to pinpoint anyone. Still I think, if someone wants to be friends with you and has the need to use a translator to ask you basic questions in the language played in div 7, something is very wrong.

No worries, 5 or 6 people already help out, they all do an excellent job and it means I´m usually left with a manageable amount. My real life commitments can still unexpectedly increase now and then so response may be slower than I would like (up to 3 or 4 days for non urgent matters). I appreciate your understanding and the info supplied hausjac :)

hausjac, apologies for the delay, I am working my way through emails whenever I can. Players need to understand I donate my time to help out and sometimes my own businesses must take priority. Please be patient.

With regard to this new thread I posted a comment re a suspected cheat a few days ago and have not had a reply. If you want us to report such things then a response might be useful!

telmon - I recognise your frustration, but we need the assistance of players to weed out those who do not play with honour. We have a system for investigating players, but first we need honest players to report suspected wrongdoing.

It´s a shame that I feel throughout the seasons I´ve been playing on this I now feel people cheat and use anagram solvers more than ever. Of course u will say take screenshots but that´s not really evidence. It makes me not want to play even though I love word feud and also the LOH.

Yes dreamlover, there has been at least two complaints which were sent to me in the correct manner. Those players have done exactly the right thing, they find something dubious but have not openly accused you, have simply turned over evidence, given their opinion and left us to decide. I think an investigation is needed, I am unbiased at this point and will only take action if the voting indicates I should. By participating in the league you are agreeing to play on our terms and by our rules. I am merely applying them as I should.

WLoH int judge I know the tornament makers are emailing individuals on my game play... Because more than one person believes ime using an app or online help I will not have this kind of conflict started on here. It is unreasonable to accuse people of cheating on a public forum based on just your own opinion. There is a system in place to deal with your concerns. I promise not to play good and promise to lose all my games that will get me no where on this site how can I prove ime playing an honest game I can´t.... Lets all just team up grass on each other and get rid of each other lets all play fair eh as if that happens....
