I´ve just been reading these posts and given myself a brain fade trying to understand the puzzles! Obviously my mind is not at the same standard as you clever people LOL! By the way any idea why the word ZEN is not included in WF? Monty I would be happy to have a friendly game.

I´m now excluded for some daft comment. Though I´d like to publicly say the Judge is fair and a good sport. I misjudged the judge. Ironic. Tydfil chose well. I wish you all the best and apologise if ive offended anyone of you. Completely unintentional. Ciao

For those interested here in the solution to the last puzzle posed: The third and fifth letters of each of the first set of words are consecutive, so VOLUME is the correct answer. If anyone else wants to set the next challenge then go for it :-)

How many letters? Loads of them!! Haha that one was just a joke, bad one admittedly, tho you asked the right question. The other is a serious word puzzle. Took me a while to get it. Good luck!

Well done Jimbob. You know I have to exclude you again right? Tell you what, as I was the one on the receiving end of your abuse and I have forgiven then maybe it´s ok if we can allow back in. Your recent posts are infantile but you havn´t repeated such abusive behaviour, that gives me some assurance. Although I can´t promise anything if you would like to be a responsible member who positively contributes give us a good word puzzle and I will have a word with my colleagues. Up to you...

F _ _ _
_ _ _ Y
A L _ _ _
W _ _ _

Well done judge. YRNEH is it. It´s just a valid word spelt backwards so not that big a deal but not a word you would expect starting YR... I came across it when Tydfil posted about YRIVD and I was curious if there were other YR words and that´s where I met YRNEH/HENRY. ANNA and BOB are obvious and ALAN/NALA is good too. Mystery solved. Well done

Well done judge! And great question monty! Ironically for henry / yrneh it does have to do with the meaning of the word ... Henry is a unit of electrical inductance and yrneh is inverse inductance and the word was chosen because it was the other word backwards - if you believe the Internet!? Now where´s my flux capacitor. Judge would you like to set a new challenge?

Hehe, ANNA and BOB are obvious. ALAN less obvious but not unreasonable. HENRY is just ridiculous lol. No more clues, probably spilt the beans there. And don´t forget Tydfil and her word of the month from a while back.

I´m totally stumped! Probably looking at it all wrong. Let´s see if anyone else chips in - I´m sure out of the thousands of players we have someone must be able to work it out! Perhaps give people another day or two before amazing us with the glaringly obvious answer ;-)

No, nothing to do with S. Nothing to do with place names or the meaning of the word. When revealed you will think "oh, is that all it was" but you will also admit you didn´t think it was possible or even likely. The biggest clue was a word Tydfil posted about in the forum several months ago, maybe 6 months or so. I mentioned it was also true of ALAN and ANNA but not as unusual. You can add BOB to the list too but HENRY is definitely the unexpected one. I´ll let this run another day or so, or should I leave it as an eternal mystery until solved?

I was wondering whether it was that Henry is also a place name and a unit of measurement ... But as you´ve mentioned the others, is it that they can have a S added to the end?

Hard to give clues without giving it away. HENRY, ALAN and ANNA can all do it, BARRY, MARY, PETER and JOE cannot. It has nothing to do with any person living or in the past. Tydfil posted about a word several months ago that made me see if there were others and that´s when I noticed something special about HENRY (but not unique, just unexpected).

I´m not that clever to create a challenge, but I have noticed how many peoples names are valid in wordfeud like JOE, JENNY, ALAN, ANNA, JERRY, PETER, SHARON, HARRY, CHRISTIE, MARY, and probably many many others. Can anyone tell me what is unusual or perhaps unexpected about the word HENRY?
