Well, how could you have known? Anyway, I just made a quick check - looks like it has been fixed?

Again the answer ist: our host, Eskil Aasmul would have to do some programming. I have alerted him to the problem an hour ago, or so.

It is strange that if you are logged out anyone can remove a custom made tournament…when you are logged in you can only remove your own made tournament, if you are not logged in that button should not be there…who could change that?

@Jan van Gent: only our host, Eskil Aasmul / Lobotommy, is able to answer that question. To draw his attention to your issue, you could try
a) mailing him, under the adress that your league invitations come. Try to make up a good subject line, not too long, but precise enough ...
b) write a comment in one of the groups in which he currently plays.
I recommend keeping that short, for a start. He´s probably quite busy.
How to find those groups?: use the "Search" box that can be found above any group´s table. The numbers coming up are links .

Another possible recipe for "delayed" tournaments:
When LoBot has started it automatically***, delete the whole trnmnt as soon as you can.
Then, on the date you want it to really start, create another one with exactly the same players.
(*** and has sent mail to your players ...)
These issues you should bear in mind:
a) there´s three boxes for three paragraphs of info before LoBots line "Open Tournament. nn participants. Visible..." on the "create" page - use them, e.g. for telling the players that they should only start playing after the "real" trnmnt has started, and that no comments in the "old" trnmnt will survive it´s deletion.
b) take extreme care when entering the line with the usernames for that second trnmnt in the "Sign up these players in advance" box.
I strongly recommend to use a basic text editor, with any auto-correct/prediction/AI functions DISABLED, to prepare that line! (on Android, I´m using "Notally").
I recommend to copy the APOSTROPHE from the "example: Eminem´Notorius BIG´2pac", if you´re not 100 % positive that your keyboard has the right one ...
I strongly recommend checking the correct placement of blanks within usernames, and to triple check the whole line before copy&paste.
(btw: a letter´s case is not important for logging in, or for finding players in WF. BUT: a player being logged in as Za! when writing a comment can´t delete that comment later, when logged in as za!)
c) Make sure all your important info about deadlines & special rules appear in the top paragraphs of the new trnmnt, too .

But can I edit the tournament’s number of players when I have already set it up? :-)

And if that solution is not possible, I can remove a player, and add “him” again, when I know the tournament is ready to begin, right?

Thank you for the comment - even though Lobot will automaticly start the tournament, it’s not a problem, because there is no automatic deadline, you said so yourself. We all agreed to begin playing the 02 of October.

About starting dates & number of participants:
a) if you set a starting date, but the number of participants you set is reached before that date, the trnmt will be started anyway by LoBot. There´s nothing you can do about that.
b) On the other hand, if not enough players show up, there´s a button to start it manually.
c) "b)" can be used to solve "a)": set a much higher n.o.p. in the t´s settings, then state the number at which you´ll trigger it manually in the opening lines .

@ dododork: no, but you could consider deleting the tournament (after saving the results you´d have to enter) and creating it anew.

Is it possible to replace a person, once the tournament is started? I made a mistake in the name.

My best GENERAL ADVICE: don´t make big plans for a big project as your debut.
Just start out by creating some one-tier "normal" mini-leagues with 5 - 7 players.
You´ll learn along the way :-)

As mentioned in userleague-2183, you even don´t have to have a registered username for just participating.
The creator would have to actively add that name, and other players should be willing to enter your results, in such case .

Third question - do you need be a paying member to participate in a custom-made tournament?

I found the proof: near the creator´s button to start a trnmnt prematurely, it says: "Start the tournament anyway, even if all slots are not filled (you need at least three people):" .

No, it can´t be just 2 players - I tested that again some minutes ago. I have a faint memory of a trnmt that was announced for 4 players and was started after reaching only three - but that memory isnot very solid ... I´ll try another test along those lines ...

For a rather speedy trnmnt, you could set a deadline date & time in one of the three text boxes while creating the trnmnt, together with "For games not finished & recorded before the deadline, I will enter a score of 0 - 0" Better to choose a datetime when you´ll likely be awake & available to do the entering and subsequent "Finish"-clicking :)

Musik_Anna asked in some other tournament:
"is it possible to set a deadline for each game or the whole tournament, or is there no time limit or is there an automatic limit?"
Answer:
It is YOUR tournament, the rules are yours to make. Plus: it`s up to you to make clear which consequences players face when not complying.
Regarding automatisms:
LoBot does no automatic storing of results like it does at the deadline of an official tournament.
It does provide a "Finish the tournament" button as soon as there`s a result entered for each & every match. No results can be changed after clicking that button.
(beware: if a 0 - 0 was entered manually, that will be a played game for LoBot, as opposed to the pre-filled 0 - 0 which come with a new table)
IF YOU WISH each game to be finished within a duration of your choice, here`s some ideas on how to manage that:
a) have them publish start/finish timestamps in the comments of the trnmnt b) tell players to adhere to the "match plan" (scroll deep down for that, and tell THEM to scroll, too)
there may be other and better ideas ...
